A Brief History:

James Keelaghan and producer Les Siemieniuk asked a number of performers at the Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg Folk Music Festivals two simple questions.

  1. Would you sit down and play for me either your favourite song, a song that has been important to you in your life, or a song you wished you had written?
  2. Why that song in particular?

From those interviews - the series Songlines emerged.
